While watching Kurt Cobain About a Son I heard this quote about Kurt Cobain's feelings on pets and it promoted cats and turtles.
"I just became obsessed with turtles. I put them in a bathtub in the living room. They're real docile. They don't move they don't show emotion. They're so inanimate, ya know? They're just the stupidest idea of a pet. They're the complete opposite of dogs. I can't stand dogs for some reason. I like cats and animals that require attention. They have this fuck you attitude. Im stuck in this tank, I'm miserable and I hate you. Those shells aren't real helpful. They're sensitive. If they fall on their back it will split it open and they will die."
